Will someone please explain this to me?

Christian commented the other night that it was a little bizarre that Halloween movies are already coming out…
But can someone please explain to me why, on August 31st, Walgreens is advertising Halloween candy at 2/$5 and has their costume displays out already???
I mean, geez, school hasn’t even started in a lot of places yet…
I wish I could explain this. I can’t. I mentioned it on my own blog about 2 weeks ago, after seeing the Halloween candy displays already up at my grocery store, and my inability to walk by the candy corn without buying any. That was the middle of August. THE MIDDLE OF AUGUST. Whuh…? Which means instead of just a month or so of inner battles to get myself to not buy and eat 60 bags of candy corn, I have to endure this for TWO AND A HALF MONTHS. At least. Because then, for a few weeks AFTER Halloween, they’ll STILL BE THERE. ON SALE. Which will make it a thousand times harder to pass them up. Why, God, WHY???
As you can see, I’ve given this issue a lot of thought.
