Torsten/picture catchup #4: 11 months – A hair’s breadth from bipedal locomotion!
Dearest Torsten,
Ok, you are now 17-and-a-half months old, and it is only now, more than six months later, that I get to posting.
It’s a bit unfair if I try to pretend I wrote this when you were actually 11 months old, so I won’t – I’ll let the pictures tell most of the story, and I’ll interject just a bit about what I remember of you then.
(If you can see the cut below, there’s more after it. If not, please visit the original post to see the rest… And as usual, click on the pictures to see them full-size)
Before 11 months, you were really, really a baby – last month you started to crawl and look like a big boy, but this month, you started to pull up on things and try to walk. Really, it was more of a controlled fall – you’d hold on to the couch, let go, and stumble forward until you fell on the rocking chair.
Every day, you’d let yourself stumble a little farther and a little farther and every day Mama was glad we had a safe area with foam mats for you to stumble on.
Of course, all of this work made for a tired little guy…
Maybe you were not so much a baby as you used to be – which, approaching your first birthday, is as it should be – but you were still lovey and cuddly and your joy in being with Mama and Papa was and is is one of the great things about our life.
I’m not sure there’s a lot more I can say here, though I’ll add more to the post if I do, but what I will say is that it was amazing how much you grew and changed in this month, and the next month was even crazier. I’ll put the rest of the pictures in and try to do a better job on next month’s post
I love you with all my heart, little guy
Mama
